What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible to support the delivery of the Human Resource strategy to further the banks’ strategic imperative to deliver consistent and sustainable performance over the long term. You will translate business needs into integrated Human Resource solutions to fully leverage leadership, employee capability and organizational development within the Commercial & Wealth Management/Personal & Business Banking Chief Administration Office, and Private Banking line of business. You will provide strategic advice and proactive support to senior leadership in all areas of Human Resources including: talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards and employee relations.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How You’ll Succeed

  • HR Planning and Integration – Plans and coordinates the effective delivery of annual HR initiatives related to Talent Management, Goals, Performance & Success (GPS) and Total Rewards as a part of a team. Incorporate change management methodology into HR planning and integration practices (i.e. stakeholder and impact analysis, implementation and communication plan) to ensure a smooth transition towards the desired end state. Anticipates and plans for future human capability needs by analyzing and interpreting workforce information, reviewing results of employee surveys, and discussing top of mind issues and concerns with business and HR leaders.
  • HR Program Delivery – Support the Commercial & Wealth Management/Personal & Business Banking Chief Administration Office, and Private Banking strategies and objectives through the delivery of end-to-end HR solutions ranging from strategic positioning to implementation. Work with the leadership team to ensure their HR requirements are met and to help build a working environment conducive to high levels of employee commitment and engagement. Supports organization development efforts by partnering with HR Centres of Expertise on large scale organization design projects, talent management reviews, performance management initiatives and other enterprise-wide HR development efforts.
  • Performance Management and Capability Development – Help business leaders identify and resolve performance management issues including assistance with the escalation of issues to the Employee Relations, Policy and Governance team. Partner with Talent Development to identify developmental requirements and support the implementation of learning solutions to build capabilities. Provide Personal & Business Canada leaders with guidelines, procedures and available tools from the HR Centres of Expertise to facilitate the delivery of all HR programs.
  • Talent Management & Workforce Transformation – Working with your HR Centres of Excellence (CoE) partners, you develop integrated talent strategies and solutions to support the business is acquiring, developing and retaining the best talent to meet current and future business needs and help them in tackling their top talent priorities. You support leaders in building employee capabilities and enabling team performance.
  • Client Focus – You are passionate about partnering with business leaders to build a client focused culture supported by the right employee capabilities to help CIBC become #1 in client relationships.
