LeverageTek is actively seeking a Director, HR Applications for a permanent position with an Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location :

4x week on-site at HQ in Ottawa / Gatineau

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of Workday and other HR applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle implementation of Workday HR and Payroll modules.
  • Post-implementation, lead the deployment of additional modules, upgrades, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to identify system needs, define requirements, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Manage a team of HRIS analysts and external consultants, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all HR applications and processes.
  • Support the development and maintenance of system documentation, training materials, and user support resources.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform application enhancements and innovation.

Key Qualifications :

  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including at least one full-cycle implementation.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in HRIS leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on Workday.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and compliance requirements.

Other Qualifications :

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage vendor relationships.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
