As a Strategy Director, you will address weird and complex challenges, orchestrate project resources, and build strong partnerships with senior executives.

Your role requires exceptional intelligence, evident from the moment you begin a conversation. You are an expert in idea generation, problem identification, analysis, design, synthesis, and strategic planning, with a deep understanding of decision-making processes and the mechanisms driving innovation within large organizations.

Your high emotional intelligence and social awareness enable you to navigate high-stakes executive communications with ease. Your passion for the art of conversation is evident in your expert facilitation skills, particularly in workshop settings. You excel in collaborative settings, thriving through constructive debate and reverse mentorship.

You have a genuine curiosity about the world and the businesses driving change, thinking big picture while grasping the intricate details that move industries. Whether it's navigating complex regulatory environments, understanding patient journey dynamics, or addressing the unique challenges of bringing life-saving innovations to market. • Required Qualifications (and Nice-to-Haves)
• You are legally able to work in Canada (Citizen, permanent resident, work permit holder)
• You hold a bachelor's degree and likely a graduate degree in STEM, business, design, humanities, or a related discipline. We prioritize your skills, capabilities, and self-directed learning experiences over the specific field of study or the prestige of your educational institution.
• With 10-15+ years of professional work experience, you may come from a background including management consulting, strategy / transformation / planning function in a small-to-medium or established enterprise. Emphasize entrepreneurship to excite us further.
• You're not just another strategist, and your portfolio showcases your leadership and demonstrated results in significant strategic initiatives and your ability to build trust with senior leaders.
• You are an exceptional facilitator with a proven ability to craft and lead impactful workshops.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices is highly advantageous. Understanding how healthcare is evolving, how life-saving medications progress from early development through commercialization, and the strategic challenges of bringing breakthrough therapies to patients will set you apart. An understanding of legacy matrixed, multinational businesses as well as innovative, up-and-coming business models at the forefront of disruptive industries is also highly valuable.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel, is essential. Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Miro, or other relevant platforms is an additional asset.
• A valid passport is a requirement, and you should be comfortable with some travel, both within the GTA and across North America and Europe.

The Recruitment Process

It's important we get to know each other. Our selection process probably includes several stages : a virtual interview, a panel interview, some kind of fun case, and a final face-to-face interview in Toronto. References will be contacted before extending an offer. Expect clear and timely communication throughout.

While our current team is based in downtown Toronto, we embrace internet-enabled collaboration. We sometimes prioritize in-person meetings for significant client milestones and maintain a regular cadence of onsite team time for client delivery. We also add some excitement with occasional gatherings as a team at a cozy loft downtown. But keep in mind that you won't be required to come to the office every day (...or barely ever), and your suitability for the position isn't contingent on having a Toronto / GTA postal code.
