About Talent Edge:

As trusted Executive & Professional Search partners, Talent Edge brings deep expertise in talent acquisition and advisory across industries. We leverage cutting-edge research and market mapping tools to deliver exceptional candidate matches for our clients. Our talented team prides itself in bringing innovative strategies, and a passion for excellence to each and every engagement.

About our client:

Khanani Developments is a family-owned real estate development and construction company with a strong reputation for quality and community-oriented projects across the GTA. They have built a portfolio of residential developments that reflect integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to craftsmanship.

With a team of roughly 50 employees, Khanani Developments continues to grow steadily, guided by entrepreneurial leadership, close-knit values, and a vision to elevate the future of real estate through responsible, people-first development.

About this role:

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director, People & Culture will be a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for shaping and driving the company’s people strategy during a time of exciting transformation and growth.

This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team of a values-based, family-led business and build a forward-thinking HR function from the ground up.

Key areas of focus will include organizational design, leadership development, talent acquisition, performance management, total rewards, and culture-building initiatives. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and play a vital role in ensuring the company’s people practices align with its long-term growth and values.

About the candidate:

  • You are a people leader with experience building or scaling HR functions in a dynamic, small-to-mid-sized organization, ideally within real estate, construction, or similar project-based industries.
  • You bring a strong foundation in HR best practices and legislation, paired with hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle - including exposure to best practices in recruiting, onboarding, and talent development.
  • You thrive in environments where you wear multiple hats each day and are just as comfortable developing strategic frameworks as you are rolling up your sleeves to handle day-to-day HR operations.
  • Ideally, you possess a CPHR designation, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth throughout your career. Equally important is your ability to navigate the nuances of a family business environment with professionalism, diplomacy, and a relationship-first mindset.
  • You are energized by building programs and processes from the ground up and have a track record of designing practical, human-centered solutions that align people with business strategy.
  • You’re passionate about fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures and are excited by the opportunity to make a lasting impact at an organization entering a new phase of growth.

This role comes with a base salary in the range of CAD $175,000 - $225,000, along with a competitive benefits package. The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience. Talent Edge and Khanani Developments believe in pay equity, fairness, and transparency.
