About the role

As ATB’s next Director, Government Finance & Syndication you’ll help to continue the momentum and growth of ATB’s fixed income platform. The role will leverage established relationships and market knowledge to strengthen existing and establish new issuer relationships in the Public Sector (Government Finance, Municipalities, and Pension Fund issuers).

Accountabilities
  • Manage relationships with all Public Sector issuers, providing daily market coverage and coordinating all the client needs across the ATB platform.
  • Daily market coverage including creating and providing market insights, pricing perspectives, and relative value analysis.
  • Partner and coordinate with the fixed income trading team and other fixed income product partners (specifically Interest Rate Hedging/Derivatives and FX) to identify all opportunities within the ATB platform.
  • Provide direct input on the Government Finance strategy and work to define the steps to expanding the business and generating incremental revenue.
  • Maintain regular institutional fixed income investor relationships in a sales and origination capacity to facilitate the information flow and book build process for new issue and secondary product offerings.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Origination team to engage in investor discussions to facilitate the Corporate New Issue process.
Skills, experience & requirements
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in Canadian Debt Capital Markets, specializing in the Public Sector.
  • Strong, established relationships with Public Sector entities (Government Finance, Municipalities, and Pension Funds) and the fixed income investment community.
  • Adept at developing and executing marketing strategies for existing and prospective clients.
  • Proficiency in new issue derivative products, with the ability to calculate and comprehend cross-currency swap mechanics.
  • Proactive and self-driven, possessing expert-level Excel abilities.
  • Capable of providing accurate daily pricing indications for issuers, supported by a deep understanding of competitive global market forces.
  • Bachelor's degree is a prerequisite.
  • Must be a CIRO Canadian Securities Registered Representative.
  • Located in Toronto, ON.
