The Opportunity
- We are looking for a Director of Geotechnical Engineering who will work with the Vice President, Engineering, to create and grow our geotechnical engineering practice.
Responsibilities
- Build, support, and mentor a passionate and committed team of professionals.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, regulators, suppliers, and peers.
- Enhance Trace’s reputation, especially in the geotechnical industry.
- Collaborate with environmental science and management consulting peers to cross sell and support business development initiatives.

About You and Your Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in consulting geotechnical engineering.
- Status as a Professional Engineer.
- Health, safety, and wellness are critical to you.

- You are organized, adaptable, and have a passion for consistently delivering outstanding work.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software packages.
- Expert understanding of embankment design, slope stability, and geotechnical engineering. Dam safety assessment is a benefit.
- A strong conceptual and detailed design background.
- Exceptional report writing and verbal communication skills.
