Reporting into the SVP Finance, the Director of Reporting will build out and lead the financial reporting, analysis and planning in partnership with the Senior Leadership team and the Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs). This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and strategic relevance of financial reporting to support decision-making by Regional and Executive Leadership Teams. This senior leadership role will also interact regularly with the Executive Leadership Team regarding corporate priorities and become a trusted business partner for the ELT, SLT and RVPs working closely to provide analytical expertise and drive business results. What you’ll do:

  • Lead the preparation, review, and presentation of monthly reporting packages, including consolidated and regional reports.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent reporting, with focus on driving efficiencies through automation
  • Analyze monthly results to provide insights into forecast/budget variances, key performance indicators/ratios and financial statement trends
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to provide insight into the financial performance of the business
  • Business Partnership:
    • Act as a strategic advisor to the Senior Leadership and Executive Leadership teams, including the Regional Vice Presidents.
    • Collaborate with key members of Softchoice’s leadership team to develop financial strategies and drive analytics to enable better decision-making Translate complex financial information into clear, concise business insights for non-financial leaders.
  • Lead and develop a team of six planning professionals (one Sr. Manager, two Senior Analysts and three Regional Controllers)
  • Process Improvement
    • Continuously evaluate and enhance reporting processes, systems, and tools for increased automation, accuracy, and efficiency.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • At least 10 years of combined experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Exposure to Information technology industry a plus (but not required)
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, business administration, economics accounting or other quantitative field
  • Track record of academic achievement and professional advancement
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing high-performing teams as well as collaborating with various functions
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills with advanced Excel knowledge
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to identify and articulate strategic opportunities to drive exceptional business results. Ability to navigate complicated situations, analyze and summarize results with recommendation
  • Extensive experience building and delivering presentations to Senior Executives
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills – extensive experience working with senior leadership and ability to gain trust across an organization
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Highly detail oriented and meticulous
  • Intellectual curiosity with strong business acumen and have an inclination to challenge the status quo
  • A proven record of being a self-starter and someone who thrives on delivering exceptional results
  • Strong work ethic with willingness to work extended hours during periods of high demand
