Our work is rooted in the values of respect, reciprocity, and Indigenous knowledge, and we are proud to play a role in strengthening the voices of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples across Manitoba. We work in partnership with communities, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to grow opportunities rooted in Indigenous stories, knowledge, and cultural values.

Our Mission
Telling our stories to grow the Indigenous tourism industry.

Our Vision

Our Outlook
With eagerness, we look forward to working closely with our members, stakeholders, and partners to overcome challenges and celebrate successes.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a collaborative and grounded Director, Finance to lead and support the financial operations of Indigenous Tourism Manitoba. Reporting to the CEO, this role provides both strategic leadership and direct oversight of the organization’s financial responsibilities.

The Director plays a key role in shaping ITM’s financial systems, ensuring they reflect both sound financial practices and Indigenous values of accountability and transparency. Working closely with the CEO, legal counsel, senior leadership, and the board, the Director supports informed decision-making and long-term sustainability.

This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who wants to use their skills in finance to support Indigenous voices, economies, and tourism growth across Manitoba.

Key Responsibilities
As Director, Finance, you will lead and support all aspects of ITM’s financial operations. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll manage budgeting, reporting, grant funding, audits, and financial planning to ensure long-term sustainability. You’ll maintain strong, transparent systems grounded in both professional standards and Indigenous values.

You will oversee grant and contribution agreements, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and collaborate with partners to support ITM’s programs and members. You’ll coordinate audits, manage internal controls, and provide timely financial updates to leadership.
This role also supports financial planning for major initiatives like the annual conference and membership program and offers guidance to members when needed. As a member of the leadership team, you’ll help shape policies and collaborate across departments to support ITM’s mission and Indigenous self-determination in tourism.
