About the Role

The Finance Director in Digital Business & Technology Solutions (DBTS) serves as a central point for all finance-related activities, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, chargeback processes, and cost optimization for key portfolios.

The incumbent will lead a team of Finance Managers and Analysts and must be able to advise on decisions to ensure the business's financial success. The position requires strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills and reports directly to the AVP Finance, Digital Business & Technology Solutions.

What you'll be doing

  1. Define, lead, and influence the business portfolio strategies.
  2. Lead the development of business portfolio guidelines and standards, including defining guardrails to optimize cost performance.
  3. Lead business portfolio financial cost modeling, including cost and recovery models, forecasts, and budget review processes.
  4. Oversee and manage the business portfolio operating budget and chargebacks to clients, including:
  • Monitoring financial performance during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
  • Presenting business reviews to senior management.
  • Forecasting costs to business application owners to support budgeting processes.
  • Driving successful implementation of product cost tracking and status reporting on initiatives.
  • Identify and leverage cost optimization opportunities
  • Participate in ongoing financial management and renewals for large enterprise contracts, including pricing and RFP analysis, and communicate implications of cost changes to Business Groups (BGs).
  • Manage SLC BG relationship concerning DBTS chargebacks to SLC.
  • Coach and mentor employees.
  • Provide thought leadership for the business portfolios.
  • Drive and help implement digital transformation changes.
  • Enforce best practices and uphold high standards.
  • What you'll need to succeed :

    • 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including leading, coaching, and developing teams.
    • Accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent relevant business experience.
    • Proven experience in expense management, cost accounting, activity-based costing, and financial modeling.
    • Experience working with SAP Financials and Hyperion Planning.
    • Basic knowledge of cost recovery and chargeback models.
    • Ability to manage multiple conflicting timelines.
    • Ability to operate in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Client-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes.
    • Strategic thinking regarding business, product, and technical challenges.
    • Ownership mentality with a high sense of urgency, working entrepreneurially.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytics, and resolution skills.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
