Director of Finance at Even Hotel New York - Midtown East

We are seeking a skilled Director of Finance and Accounting to manage the hotel’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing profitability. The successful candidate will oversee financial controls, team management, and strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and coaching the finance team to ensure effective task allocation
  2. Establishing and maintaining high standards of accounting practices and financial controls
  3. Analyzing financial data, market trends, and budgeting to maximize returns
  4. Improving guest experience through financial innovations such as payment options and inventory management
  5. Supervising accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Payroll

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting and Finance or related field
  • 4-8 years of experience in hotel accounting or auditing, with at least one year in a supervisory role such as Assistant Controller
  • Knowledge of hotel accounting duties including lease negotiations, payroll, asset management, and government reporting
  • Professional accounting or finance certification preferred
  • Fluency in the local language(s); additional languages beneficial

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $110,000 to $135,000. Bonus eligibility included. We offer comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and more.
