Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.Job DescriptionAs a member of the Brookfield Infrastructure Finance and Operations team, you will report to the Vice President, Finance and work alongside a strong team and collaborate with several internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities:The responsibilities for this position would include, among other things:Review quarterly reporting to investors and other users, including financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP – Investment Company Accounting and IFRSReview of investor Partners’ Capital Statements (“PCAPs”) and available commitment schedules on a quarterly basisPresentation of quarterly results to senior managementOverseeing the team’s interaction with various service providers to ensure information being provided is accurate and provided in a timely basisReview valuations of fund investments on a quarterly basisReview of accounting packages for individual legal entities, including review of tax financialsPreparing internal and external audit requests and maintaining appropriate control documentationManaging and reviewing capital calls from, and distributions to investorsAssist with managing fund operations, including liquidity management, investor queries, forecasting and complianceThorough understanding of the legal structure of the various funds and the related impact on funds flows and consolidationAssist with analysis of complex accounting issues that arise, including the structuring of new acquisitionsProvide oversight on any improvements to the reporting process and actively coach team membersSpecial projects & ad hoc requests as requiredRequirements:University degreeProfessional accounting designation (CPA/CA)Minimum of seven years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functions;Experience in private funds and knowledge of the investment management industry, and experience dealing with complex ownership structures would be an asset.Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative;Excellent analytical, and problem-solving ability;Exemplifies the right motivation by aspiring to achieve collective goals;Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities;Superior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills;Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines;Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel;Experience with Mercatus, Workiva, Anaplan all an assetSelf-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000 CADPosition Opening Reason:New PositionBrookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe, respectful; our shared success depends on it.
