The team:
Scotiabank’s Global Technology and Enterprise Platform (GTEP), Solutions Integration & Delivery (SI&D) organization supports strategic and operational goals by providing high-quality enterprise infrastructure services in collaboration with global CIOs and business stakeholders.
The role:
You will be responsible for all GTEP services for Canadian Banking, working closely with Application Development teams, Executive Management, Compliance, Security, and other business groups. You will lead a team of IT professionals, providing subject matter expertise aligned with the bank’s strategic vision. Travel within the Greater Toronto Area may be required, and off-hours work may be necessary to ensure system operations, including 24x7 availability for critical communication tools within Canada.

Skills required:
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish and/or French is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- 10+ years of experience leading IT teams that serve multiple regions or countries.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, planning, and implementing cloud migrations, especially to Public Cloud (GCP and/or Azure).
- Proven ability to translate strategies into actionable roadmaps for stakeholders, including C-Level executives.
- Experience in building strategic partnerships and driving continuous improvement.
- Analytical skills with experience influencing strategic business decisions.
- Ability to communicate IT issues proactively to business lines and manage problem escalation processes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
