A leading city government entity in Toronto is seeking a Director of Cyber Engagement to provide strategic leadership for its cybersecurity program. This role involves developing policies, managing cybersecurity teams, and fostering stakeholder engagement to enhance the city's cyber posture.
The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer is a vital, mission-critical Division within the complex, multi-divisional and multi-stakeholder environment that is the City of Toronto. As the Director, Cyber Engagement, your role is to provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight in establishing and sustaining a City-wide cyber program aimed at continually improving the City's cyber posture.
You will be a detail-focused yet strategically minded leader, guiding the planning, development, and implementation of proactive cyber strategies, processes, policies, standards, guidelines, and initiatives. Oversight of teams of cybersecurity experts responsible for managing all cyber requests across the City, its agencies, and corporations will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and key outcomes.
To advance the cyber security mandate, you will foster relationships with various stakeholders and partners, promoting engagement and awareness. Developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy will be a key focus. Throughout this process, you will uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and accountability, maintaining the trust and confidence of City leaders, the Council, and the citizens.
