Director, Cyber and IT Risk Framework Policy and Standards

Job Summary

The Director, Cyber and Technology Risk Framework and Standards will lead the bank's cyber and technology policies and standards, overseeing their design and implementation within a clear framework to mitigate risks. Responsibilities include maintaining the framework, managing the governance roadmap, guiding policy development, and ensuring effective communication and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on RBC's security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain IT Risk governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Manage the Cyber & Technology Governance Roadmap and related schedules.
  • Maintain repositories of frameworks, policies, standards, and regional addendums.
  • Coordinate regulatory change scanning and gap analysis with regional teams.
  • Assess and report on the effectiveness of policies and standards using analytics and control reviews.
  • Handle queries from regulators and third parties regarding policies and standards.
  • Maintain Cyber and IT Risk Governance Domain profiles for risk assessment.
  • Deliver presentations to stakeholders and provide risk insights to business and technology partners.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of IT experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in Information Security services.
  • Minimum 5 years of operational technology experience.
  • Proven experience in defining and implementing cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Ability to facilitate constructive debates and collaboration.
