Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Academic, the Director, Community & Continuing Education (CCE) provides leadership to an innovative, entrepreneurial, and surplus-generating CCE department. Through a lens of strategic enrolment management, the Director has overall responsibility for leading, guiding, and managing the development and implementation of comprehensive, innovative, and high-quality programming across all campuses that support the strategic priorities of CNC and meets the needs of the communities and partners it serves.
NATURE & SCOPE:
- The Director leads the development of a shared vision for Community & Continuing Education, with the Manager, CE and Community Campus Managers, and provides strategic leadership that support the growth of an integrated college-wide Community & Continuing Education department which positions the institution to be the training partner of choice for learners, Aboriginal communities, as well as local community groups and industry.
- The Director serves as a steward of the College, developing sustainable relationships with business, industry, and Aboriginal communities.
- The Director will work with their direct reports, and with members of the CNC community and external partners to identify opportunities and secure agreements for partnerships and programs.
- The role will design and manage business planning for CCE operations and institute college-wide systems of accountability for the growth and expansion of net-positive revenue-generating activities in the institution.
- The Director will be required to work actively and collaboratively within the institution to develop a thriving revenue-generating operation.
- The role is responsible for the overall management of Community & Continuing Education operations across the institution, providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to the Manager, Continuing Education, Community Campus Managers, faculty, and operational staff within the portfolio.
