Job summary

NDT Global is seeking a Director of Communications & Reputation to protect, strengthen and advance the company’s global reputation as a leader in asset integrity solutions. The role reports to the VP, Branding & Communications and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

In partnership with cross-functional teams, you will guide internal and external communications, executive messaging, and crisis readiness while supporting growth, investor-readiness initiatives and ESG reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline required.
  • Master's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Change, Corporate Communications or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and French.

  • Lead internal and external communications, executive communications, reputation management, change and integration communications, crisis preparedness, corporate reporting and investor-readiness initiatives.

Director, Communications & Reputation

(Please note this position could also sit in Montreal)

The goal of the Director, Communications & Reputation is to protect, strengthen and advance NDT Global's reputation as a global leader in asset integrity and critical infrastructure solutions while shaping the company's corporate narrative and building stakeholder trust throughout its growth and integration journey. Reporting to the Vice-President, Branding & Communications, this role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and plays a key role in strengthening employee engagement, executive visibility, external reputation and stakeholder confidence. The Director leads internal and external communications, executive communications, reputation management, change and integration communications, crisis preparedness, corporate reporting and investor-readiness initiatives, while developing strategic messaging, executive content and leadership communications that support long-term growth, organizational transformation and enterprise value creation.

Leads the development and stewardship of NDT Global's communications strategy and reputation management framework, including the creation of strategic communications, leadership messaging and high-impact executive content that supports business priorities, strengthens stakeholder trust and advances long-term growth and enterprise value creation.

Partners with senior leaders to develop executive communications, thought leadership and visibility strategies, including executive messaging, presentations, speaking engagements and strategic content, that strengthen leadership credibility, reinforce corporate positioning and elevate NDT Global's influence and reputation within the industry.

In partnership with the People & Culture team, leads the development and implementation of internal communications strategies that strengthen employee engagement, foster organizational culture and ensure employees are informed, aligned and connected to the company's vision, priorities and values.

Directs external communications and media relations strategies, including public relations, corporate announcements, executive communications and stakeholder-facing content, to enhance reputation, increase visibility and support key business priorities.

Leads communication strategies supporting mergers, acquisitions, organizational change and business transformation initiatives, ensuring clear, timely and effective stakeholder communications that enable successful integration and organizational alignment.

Establishes crisis communications, issues management and reputation protection frameworks, including response protocols, governance processes and leadership guidance, to support effective decision-making and coordinated communications during sensitive, high-impact or business-critical situations.

Provides strategic direction for enterprise brand governance and communications standards, partnering with the Manager, Brand Marketing & Digital to ensure consistent implementation across channels, regions, stakeholder groups and acquired businesses.

Supports executive and strategic stakeholder communications initiatives by developing strategic messaging, leadership materials and stakeholder communications that enhance transparency, credibility and confidence in the organization's performance, strategic direction and long‑term growth trajectory.

Leads communications support for corporate responsibility, sustainability and ESG initiatives, including corporate reporting, stakeholder communications and strategic external applications (e.g., Canada's Best Managed Companies), by collaborating with cross‑functional teams to strengthen organizational reputation, stakeholder trust and long‑term enterprise value.

Qualifications/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline required.
  • Master's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Change, Corporate Communications or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Professional accreditations or certifications in communications, public relations, reputation management, change management, executive communications or related disciplines (e.g., CPRS, IABC, APR, Prosci or equivalent) are considered an asset. Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in these areas are equally valued.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English and French.
Experience
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, executive communications, reputation management, stakeholder communications or related disciplines, including leadership-level responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and stewarding corporate narratives, messaging frameworks and strategic communications programs that align stakeholders, support business objectives and strengthen organizational reputation.
  • Demonstrated experience advising executive leadership teams on corporate narrative, executive communications, organizational change, stakeholder engagement and reputation-related matters, with the ability to influence decisions and communicate effectively in complex business environments.
  • Experience within industrial services, engineering, infrastructure, technology, energy or other B2B environments, with an understanding of complex global organizations and multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated success developing executive communications, thought leadership and visibility programs that strengthen leadership credibility, organizational reputation and stakeholder confidence.
  • Experience leading media relations, reputation management, issues management and crisis communications initiatives, including response planning and executive counsel during sensitive or high-impact situations.
  • Proven ability to lead communications associated with organizational transformation, mergers and acquisitions, change management and business integration initiatives.
  • Experience managing external agencies, vendors and strategic partners to deliver integrated communications, reputation and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Experience supporting executive communications, corporate reporting, stakeholder communications, ESG reporting, strategic external applications and/or investor-readiness initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within global and matrixed organizations, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across regions, functions and cultures.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-impact communications in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
