Job summary

YWCA Saskatoon seeks a Director of the Child Development Centre to oversee program delivery, administration, and staff in a unionized daycare environment. The role includes strategic leadership, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with provincial licensing and funding conditions.

The Director will guide the CDC Manager and ECE staff, collaborate with the CEO and leadership team, and drive initiatives that reflect women and families’ needs in Saskatchewan.

Qualifications

• Relevant post-secondary education with an ECE Level III minimum.
• At least five years of progressive management experience in early learning and child care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of child development principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversee Child Development Center programs and operations.
• Develop, implement and evaluate all programs according to the needs of operating daycare centres.
• Oversee staff scheduling and ensure educator-to-child ratios are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with provincial licensing, funding conditions, and YWCA policies.
• Maintain records with confidentiality and manage revenue and budget planning.
