Our client is looking for a Director, Finance Transformation and Program Delivery for 12-24 months contract
Location: 5 days on site in Oshawa
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Enablement Strategy:
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale business enablement programs aligned to modernization and digital transformation goals.
- Cross-Functional Delivery Leadership:
- Drive coordination across core business units (e.g., Finance, Operations, IT, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment, risk mitigation, and timely delivery.
- Program Execution & Governance:
- Own delivery outcomes and execution roadmaps. Establish governance frameworks, manage risk (RAID), and ensure informed decision-making.
- Value Realization:
- Implement and oversee frameworks to track KPIs, measure benefits, and close performance gaps against business cases.
- Change Management & Adoption:
- Lead enterprise adoption strategies in collaboration with HR, business leaders, and external partners. Focus on readiness, training, and long-term sustainability of changes.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external integrators and solution providers. Oversee vendor performance, procurement activities, and contractual compliance.
- Enablement Standards & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop consistent methodologies, toolsets, and best practices across initiatives. Drive Agile, hybrid, and user-centric delivery practices (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean).
Profile & Experience
- 10+ years in program leadership roles within large, matrixed organizations; experience in energy/utilities or similarly regulated industries is an asset.
- Proven success delivering cross-functional, enterprise-wide transformations.
- Strong governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Familiar with modern delivery frameworks (Agile, hybrid, Waterfall).
- Effective at driving both strategy and execution with measurable business impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean, Prosci) are considered strong assets.
