As Director, Branch Channel, Insurance Distribution you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing the distribution strategy for insurance products through the branch network, collaborating with branch management to drive sales and client engagement, and ensuring alignment with Global Insurance’s overall business objectives.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Develop and execute distribution strategies for creditor insurance products sold through branches, aligning with retail banking and overall Global Insurance’s goals.
  • Develop and implement field coaching plans for Regional Insurance Managers. Collaborate with branch channel partners to ensure consistent delivery and execution across the network.
  • Maintain and manage a consolidated dashboard tracking distribution performance and sales practice KPIs.
  • Accountable for ensuring distribution meets sales practices/regulatory and market conduct guidelines.
  • Ensure all distribution activities adhere to sales practice standards, regulatory guidelines, and market conduct expectations.
  • Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
  • Creates an environment in which they pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in business and or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience with 3 years of senior management experience, preferably in Bank-distributed insurance with exposure/experience with digital sales
  • Excellent strategic partnership and influencing skills along with proven ability to establish detailed planning, execution, metric development, monitoring and adjustment with partners.
  • Strong sales leadership, and execution skills.
  • Proven relationship management skills with demonstrated seamless collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
