Position Summary:

The Director, Aftermarket Commercial Solutions is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the global commercial strategy and execution across the aftermarket business segment. This includes oversight of parts sales, maintenance and repair services, modifications, service agreements, and customer support programs. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a strong commercial mindset, accountable for revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and commercial optimization. This role requires close collaboration across sales, marketing, engineering, supply chain, demand planning, and program teams to deliver integrated, customer-focused aftermarket solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and executea comprehensive, forward-looking global commercial strategy for aftermarket services aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead commercial planning efforts, including pricing strategy, contract development, and negotiations for offerings such as spare parts, service agreements, MRO services, and technical support.
  • Drive financial performancethrough accurate budgeting, forecasting, and the continuous monitoring of key revenue and performance metrics.
  • Partner with sales and customer support teamsto assess customer needs, ensuring competitive, value-driven service offerings.
  • Champion innovation and growth, designing tailored solutions to expand market share and strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Stay ahead of market dynamics, including competitor activity, customer trends, and regulatory shifts, adjusting strategy accordingly.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunitiesthat align with the aftermarket vision, driving long-term customer value and aircraft lifecycle optimization.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationshipswith key customers, partners, and suppliers to ensure high service satisfaction and partnership continuity.
  • Lead and inspirea high-performing commercial aftermarket team, overseeing talent acquisition, development, and performance management.
  • Ensure commercial compliance and profitability, working in close coordination with legal and finance teams.
  • Represent the company externally at key industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements, reinforcing brand and market presence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aerospace aftermarket or aviation services, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial or leadership capacity.
  • In-depth understanding of aftermarket dynamics including MRO, supply chain logistics, service contracts, and aviation regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing commercial strategies that deliver sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Familiarity with aviation regulatory bodies (e.g., EASA, FAA, TCCA) and their impact on aftermarket service structures.
  • Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., IFS, SAP, Salesforce) and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) for business insight generation.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams within a global matrixed environment.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in digital tools and data analytics relevant to aftermarket optimization.
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems such as IFS.
