To maintain PPI’s exacting level of service, we are looking for a Director, Advanced Sales to join our Vancouver office.

Director, Advanced Sales – BC

Job Purpose :

In this role, you will be responsible for growing the business with the objective of increasing production and promoting sales to support the achievement of the Broad Market and High Net Worth (HNW) regional sales plans. You will be responsible for relationship management for key identified advisors with potential in the HNW market, and for case management for Broad Market advisors who have a HNW case.

You will also connect internally to the PPI Advisory team of experts and work collaboratively with the Vice-President, Advanced Sales - PPI Advisory on cases as required. You will connect resources, tools and education to enhance the Advisors’ professional success and work in collaboration with your counterparts in Broad Market and HNW sales teams.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain relationships with a small, select group of key, consistently high production Advisors
  • Provide customized solutions for key Advisors, including HNW cases, understanding the needs of the Advisor and their clients
  • Collaborate with the rest of the sales team, specifically Vice-President, Advanced Sales and Director, Sales colleagues
  • Foster effective working relationships with support contacts at carriers, etc., including advanced tax and estate experts, if applicable
  • Provide education to Advisors and Sales teams on spotting HNW opportunities

Job Knowledge / Work Experience :

  • 8 years of experience in industry
  • Deep understanding of HNW market
  • Deep understanding of family and business insurance landscape, product and concept knowledge
  • Clear understanding of relevant PPI tools and resources
  • Clear and effective communicator – including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Organized with proven ability to focus on primary tasks
  • Adaptable with the flexibility to react quickly to Advisors’ needs

Education, Certifications or Licenses :

  • Life licensed
  • CFP & CLU designations (or working towards)
  • TEP, FEA desired (or working towards)

The expected salary range for this position starts at $100,000 and will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skill set.
