Desjardins General Insurance Group (DGIG) seeks a Director, Risk Officer for Property and Casualty Insurance to partner with sector leaders and strengthen risk governance. You will lead the independent risk function, integrate risk across strategic, financial and operational areas, and guide major initiatives and acquisitions.

At Desjardins General Insurance Group (DGIG), risk management is essential to delivering on our strategy and achieving sustainable business growth. As Director, Risk Officer, Property and Casualty Insurance, you act as a trusted strategic partner to the sector’s executives and leaders. You help integrate an independent second line of defence perspective into the organization’s most important decisions, while promoting sound, informed risk-taking that is aligned with business objectives. Reporting to the Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer, you will play a key role in supporting business sectors, monitoring non-financial risks and advancing risk management practices within one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurers. You will be closely involved with issues related to DGIG’s growth, transformations, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. Your ability to influence and create strong partnerships, combined with your in-depth understanding of the sector’s activities, priorities, and risks, will be essential in this role.
