Job summary

Intact is hiring a Finance Director to join the growing team. This role leads accounting processes under IFRS with SOX controls, collaborates with internal and external auditors, and drives process simplification and automation.

You will contribute to financial statements for insurance entities and partner with executives across the company. The ideal candidate holds a CPA, has 8+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and a bilingual FR/EN capability to interact across

Qualifications

• CPA required (CPA title).
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience under IFRS with SOX control environment.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects.
• Fast learner with agility, rigorous and analytical.
• Leadership, teamwork, autonomy and efficiency.
• Ability to interact with all levels including executives and external stakeholders.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of insurance (P&C) industry is a plus.
• Bilingual French and English – regular interaction across the country.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOX controls documentation, risk assessment and control design for public entity in IFRS context.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Drive standardization, simplification and automation of processes.
• Contribute to various complex projects within the organization.
• Assist in preparing financial statements for insurance companies and other legal entities.
• Support continuous improvement of deliverables to meet evolving partner needs.

Salary range (but not limited to):

118,700 - 145,100

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

About the role

Dans le cadre d'une création de poste, nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) Directeur(trice) Finances, pour joindre notre équipe existante qui comprend actuellement deux autres gestionnaires.

Ce que vous accomplirez chez nous :

• Expérience des contrôles SOX au sein d'une entité publique sous les normes IFRS. Être capable de documenter des processus comptables, d'évaluer des risques, de définir des contrôles et d'apporter des recommandations.
• Contribuer à faciliter le processus de vérification et assurer la liaison avec les vérificateurs internes et externes.
• Diriger des initiatives d'uniformisation, de simplification et d'automatisation des processus.
• Prendre part à divers projets pouvant porter sur des sujets complexes.
• Participer à la préparation des états financiers des compagnies d'assurance et d'autres entités juridiques.
• Participer à l'amélioration continue des livrables selon les besoins évolutifs de nos partenaires internes et externes.

Ce que vous mettrez à profit :

• Titre comptable CPA
• Minimum de 8 années d'expérience pertinente en comptabilité et normes comptables (IFRS) et environnement SOX.
• Solides aptitudes en communication orale et écrite et en relations interpersonnelles
• Capacité à travailler dans un environnement dynamique et à gérer divers projets simultanément
• Capacité d'apprentissage rapide et agilité
• Fortes aptitudes analytiques, de synthèse et de rigueur
• Leadership, esprit d'équipe, autonomie et efficacité
• Capacité d'interagir avec des personnes de tous les niveaux de l'organisation, y compris les membres de la direction et certains intervenants externes.
• Niveau d'Excel intermédiaire
• Connaissance de l'industrie de l'assurance IARD est un atout.
• Bilingue (français et anglais) - Nécessité d'interagir sur une base régulière avec des collègues et clients partout au pays
