Pâtisseries Jessica est un fabricant canadien de desserts surgelés reconnu, qui ravit les papilles de ses clients depuis plus de 25 ans. Nous nous consacrons au développement et à la production de gâteaux haut de gamme et de marques privées, selon les normes de qualité les plus strictes. Entreprise dynamique, Jessica innove sans cesse pour créer le prochain dessert « coup de cœur », restant ainsi à l'avant-garde du secteur. Nous desservons actuellement plusieurs grandes chaînes de distribution à travers l'Amérique du Nord. Tous nos desserts primés sont fabriqués dans notre installation certifiée BRCGS (note A+).
Nous recherchons un(e) directeur(trice) des ressources humaines passionné(e) et motivé(e) pour joindre notre équipe et soutenir notre croissance sur ce marché dynamique. L'équipe RH doit également contribuer activement à nos engagements en matière de développement durable : Bien-être des employés, Maintien de normes de qualité élevées, Mise en œuvre des bonnes pratiques de fabrication (BPF).
Principales responsabilités (Français)
- Siéger au sein de l'équipe de direction pour soutenir la stratégie et la croissance à long terme de l'entreprise.
- Développer et appliquer les politiques RH et faire respecter les règles de conduite.
- Mettre en œuvre des programmes de formation et développement.
- Gérer l'accueil et l'intégration des nouveaux employés (y compris les agences externes).
- Planification de la main-d'œuvre et budgétisation en collaboration avec la production.
- Favoriser l'engagement des employés et traiter les préoccupations.
- Gérer les conflits et effectuer des médiations en conformité.
- Maintenir les systèmes RH et superviser la paie hebdomadaire (ADP).
- Planification de la relève et développement des talents internes.
- Gérer la performance des employés par des KPI mensuels et trimestriels.
- Gérer les rémunérations et les avantages sociaux de façon équitable.
- Superviser la santé et sécurité au travail en conformité avec la CNESST.
- Organiser des événements internes et initiatives sociales.
- Promouvoir la diversité et l'inclusion.
Qualifications (Français)
- Minimum 3 à 5 ans d'expérience pertinente (expérience dans l'agroalimentaire est un atout).
- Baccalauréat en RH, relations industrielles ou administration des affaires (titre CRHA est un atout).
- Bonne connaissance des différentes facettes RH (rémunération, santé, talents, etc.).
- Bonne compréhension des lois du travail du Québec et des règlements CNESST.
- Compétences exemplaires en leadership, communication et coaching.
- Approche centrée sur l'humain avec fort engagement envers les employés.
- Capacité d'organisation et de gestion des priorités.
- Maîtrise des systèmes RH, paie et gestion du temps (ex. ADP).
- Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais (bilinguisme requis).

Jessica Pastries is a leading Canadian frozen dessert manufacturer that has been making desserts and bringing smiles to our customers' faces for more than 25 years. We dedicate our efforts to developing and producing upscale and private label cakes according to the most stringent quality standards. As an enterprising manufacturer, Jessica is always striving to develop the next "wow" dessert so as to stay ahead of the curve, consistently creating mouth-watering sweet desserts. We presently service several large retailers spanning the North American continent. All of our award-winning desserts are made in-house at our BRCGS-certified (A+ rating) facility.
We are in search of a passionate and driven Human Resources ("HR") Director to join our team and help expand our reach in this vibrant and growing market.
The HR Director is a key member of the management team responsible for the implementation of Jessica Pastries' mission statement: "Creating happiness with unique delicious desserts while adopting eco-responsible practices".
The person occupying this role must also ensure that the values of the company are well-known and permeate throughout the organization; these values being: Happiness, Quality, Teamwork, Respect and Accountability.
Lastly, the HR team must strongly contribute towards the realisation of our sustainable development commitments. More specifically: overall employee well-being, the maintenance of a superior and ever-evolving quality standard, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) principals, procedures and into our daily lives.
Main Responsibilities (English)
- Serve as a core member of management team and to align and support the company's long-term strategies and growth objectives
- Develop and implement HR policies and enforce rules that govern workplace behaviour and practices.
- Training and Development Programs: Plan and deliver employee training programs, including the development of said training materials. Provide learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Employee Onboarding and Orientation: introduce new employees to company policies, culture, and role requirements. This includes working with outsourced (third-party) HR service providers, including temporary staffing and contract workers.
- Workforce Planning and Budgeting: Work closely with the production planning team to ensure staffing needs are well-forecated so as to allocate resources effectively.
- Employee Relations and Engagement: Plan and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns proactively.
- Conflict Resolution and Mediation: Address and resolve workplaces smoothly and compliantly.
- Exit Information System Management: Maintain and Utilize HR data systems for efficient HR operation. Oversee weekly payroll processing and employee benefits administration (i.e. ADP)
- Succession Planning: Establish and promote internal talent development and prepare for future leadership needs.
- Employee Performance Management: Monitor, review, and analyse HR-related KPI on a monthly and quarterly basis, continuously improve employee performance through regular feedback and assessments based on set defined goals/objectives.
- Compensation and Benefits Administration: Support management in developing and managing an annual HR budget, covering workforce planning, training, recruitment, and other strategy initiatives. Manage employee pay structures and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Health & Safety Management / Compliance: Manage and implement workplace health and safety programs in compliance with CNESST requirements, ensuring legal compliance and in promoting a strong safety culture and workplace environment.
- Maintain a positive corporate culture: Organize internal company events and employee celebration to help foster a positive corporate culture and team cohesion. Coordinate corporate social responsibility and community engagement initiatives.
- Promote Diversity and Inclusion: Encourage a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications (English)
- A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience; experience in food manufacturing is an asset.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Business Administration and CHRP title (an asset).
- Operational abilities and extensive knowledge of the various aspects of human resources: compensation and benefits management, health management, talent management, etc.
- Strong understanding of Quebec Labour Laws and Health and Safety Regulations.
- Exemplary leadership, communication and coaching competencies.
- Proven track record of a people-centric approach towards fostering a culture of strong employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Strong organisational and priority management skills.
- Proficiency in various HR platforms - HRIS, payroll, time and attendance (ADP, or similar systems, an asset).
- Fluency in both English and French (bilingualism) required.
