What you will be doing
Responsibilities:
- Organize, plan, direct, and supervise the execution and delivery of project segments according to specifications, plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Review client requirements and project documents to understand project scope.
- Assist in developing construction execution plans, detailing staffing, materials, equipment, and subcontracting needs.
- Participate in meetings to communicate project responsibilities and progress.
- Liaise with field staff, coordinate work across departments, and manage subcontractors.
- Evaluate and direct the use of procured materials.
- Oversee financial aspects of contracts.
- Coordinate with department managers for work planning and staffing.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Implement safety, quality, and environmental programs.
- Anticipate and develop solutions for potential obstacles.
- Ensure organizational policies and initiatives are followed.
- Supervise operational, technical, financial, and administrative controls.
- Prepare progress reports and client communications.
- Monitor material and equipment usage for efficiency.
- Ensure accurate construction work and successful project delivery within scope, time, cost, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Responsibilities (English version):

- Attend meetings to relay project responsibilities.
- Coordinate work between departments, employees, and subcontractors.
- Evaluate procured materials and direct their use.
- Oversee contract financials.
- Coordinate with managers for work plans and staffing.
- Ensure compliance with regulations.
- Implement safety, quality, and environmental programs.
- Develop solutions for potential issues.
- Enforce organizational policies and initiatives.
- Supervise controls and report progress.
- Monitor material and equipment use.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and quality project completion.
- Perform other duties as required.
What we are looking for
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent (preferred)
- 10-12 years of experience with a major contractor on large heavy civil projects; bridge project experience is a plus
- Proven knowledge in project accounting, controls, materials, contracts, safety, and quality
- Successful project planning and execution within schedule and budget
- Understanding of contract law and legal language
- Proficiency in MS Office 365
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
- Strong technical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent (preferred)
- 10-12 years of experience in large civil projects, preferably bridges
- Experience in project controls, contract management, safety, and quality
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Knowledge of contract law
- Proficiency in MS Office 365
- Fluency in English and French
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
