What you will be doing

Responsibilities:

• Organize, plan, direct, and supervise the execution and delivery of project segments according to specifications, plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Review client requirements and project documents to understand project scope.
• Assist in developing construction execution plans, detailing staffing, materials, equipment, and subcontracting needs.
• Participate in meetings to communicate project responsibilities and progress.
• Liaise with field staff, coordinate work across departments, and manage subcontractors.
• Evaluate and direct the use of procured materials.
• Oversee financial aspects of contracts.
• Coordinate with department managers for work planning and staffing.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Implement safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Anticipate and develop solutions for potential obstacles.
• Ensure organizational policies and initiatives are followed.
• Supervise operational, technical, financial, and administrative controls.
• Prepare progress reports and client communications.
• Monitor material and equipment usage for efficiency.
• Ensure accurate construction work and successful project delivery within scope, time, cost, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

• Perform other duties as required.

What we are looking for

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent (preferred)
• 10-12 years of experience with a major contractor on large heavy civil projects; bridge project experience is a plus
• Proven knowledge in project accounting, controls, materials, contracts, safety, and quality
• Successful project planning and execution within schedule and budget
• Understanding of contract law and legal language
• Proficiency in MS Office 365
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
• Strong technical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent (preferred)

• Experience in project controls, contract management, safety, and quality
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Knowledge of contract law
