Qualifications

• Candidates expected to maintain professionalism while supporting clients with disabilities.
• Must hold a valid G license and be able to transport clients across sites.
• Experience in Mental Health & Addictions, and dual diagnosis support preferred.

2 Full-Time Direct Support Professional Positions

Hourly rate: $24.68

8 hour shifts includes every second weekend

Closing date: June 28, 2025

Approximate Start date: July 7, 2025

Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

Skills Required

• SSW, Mental Health and Addictions, Recreational therapist, DSW or CYW Diploma
• Current/Valid G license and able to drive and take public transit
• Candidates will be working across multiple sites all over the Greater Sudbury Area
• Computer Skills: Windows, Word, Excel, Email, etc.
• Bilingual in French and English Preferred
• Must build rapport and have a professional working relationship with the police, fire support, EMS and hospitals.
• Full G License required

• Expereince in Mental Health & Addictions, Criminal Justice system
• Supports to people who have a dual diagnosis
• Supports to people who experience Autism

• Supports to people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, oppositional defiance disorder, and personality disorder
• Able to remain positive in a sometimes negative environment

The successful candidate will be selected based on Article 12.03 of the UFCW Sudbury Bargaining Unit Collective Agreement.
