Job summary

Karis Disability Services seeks a Direct Support Professional for a temporary full-time position in a Supported Independent Living program in London, Ontario. Responsibilities include assisting adults with daily living skills and community integration, with a focus on person-centered support and safety.

Role requires a full G license, use of a vehicle, and flexibility to rotate days and afternoons, including alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation.
• 12 Months Experience (preferred).
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or related post-secondary education.
• Experience with Behaviour Support Plans and CPI techniques.
• Experience supporting people living within a Supported Independent Living model.
• Full G Driver's license and use of vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support to adults living independently in the community.
• Assist clients in developing daily living skills.
• Support clients with behavioural and community integration.
• Coordinate with external professionals and services.
