Michif Child and Family Services is seeking Direct Service Workers for Portage La Prairie, MB. Three casual positions are available to provide in-home and community support to strengthen Metis and Inuit families. Hours vary including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
Under supervision, you will perform house duties, document care, and coordinate with social workers to implement goal-oriented interventions. A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid are required.

Classification and Salary: SYCW, $18.77 - $28.89 per hour

Under the supervision of the Service Supervisor, the Direct Service Worker participates in the development and implementation of a range of goal-oriented interventions to children and/or their families. This position will work to provide in home and community support services to strengthen Metis and Inuit families.
Prior to commencing employment the successful applicant will be asked to provide satisfactory results of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, proof of $2 million dollar insurance liability, a Child Abuse Registry Check, Prior Contact Check and a Driver’s Abstract upon hire at their own expense. A valid Manitoba driver’s license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as travel is required.
