Job summary

Intercity Packers Ltd. is seeking a Direct Sales Representative in Edmonton, Alberta. You will drive new bulk sales, develop business plans, and build relationships with clients in the market, reporting to the Director of Sales.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and travel, with a background in direct selling and customer service. A post-secondary diploma or related business experience is preferred; opportunities for growth and strong team collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, vehicle and ability to travel as required.
• Direct-selling and account management experience required.
• Sales experience in a protein food service company is an asset.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.
• Effective communication in an open and direct manner; conveys information clearly and concisely, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline preferred, or other job related equivalent business experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Proficiency with the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Hangouts, Slides)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy for assigned accounts to meet company sales goals.
• Identify opportunities for total growth through analysis and sales insights.
• Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
• Collaboratively work with internal departments, in particular Product Development & Operations.
• Represent Intercity Packers in all internal and external dealings with integrity and professionalism.
• Build relationships with clients in the market area to ensure satisfaction and retention.
