Public Affairs and Corporate Communications
Job Summary
Candidate will work across the organization and with external stakeholders to develop and advance the Company’s policy priorities in Canada and support the broader Public Affairs function. The candidate will leverage experience working with and understanding policymaking processes to design and lead strategic public affairs programs across all three levels of government, working closely with government officials, industry associations, community groups and local stakeholders.
Candidate will proactively monitor the Canadian policy and regulatory landscape across a broad range of areas including climate, trade, agriculture, clean energy and transportation, and identify and communicate any potential impacts. Candidate will also support Public Affairs team on broader global developments outside of North America.
Candidate will draft a variety of policy documents including policy papers, submissions to government consultations and internal briefing notes. Working closely with the Public Affairs team in Washington DC, the candidate also will contribute materials for board meetings, strategic planning, internal newsletters, and presentations. Candidate will also make internal and external presentations on these issues.
