Job description

The Opportunity

Riide Holdings Inc. has an opportunity in their riide division, for an eager Call Taker to join the Dispatch Office. This entry-level role is responsible for answering incoming calls and booking taxi services through riide’s advanced computer dispatch system.

The Details

Status: Part-Time - Union (opportunity to transition to full-time)

Location: Saskatoon, SK (Onsite)

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: from $15.00/hour

Shift(s): Must be available to work evenings, overnight (11:30pm-8:00am)

Reports To: Dispatch Manager

The Responsibilities

The Call Taker is responsible to:

  • Support customer service excellence by answering incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency;
  • Process requests through the advanced computer dispatch system with accuracy and following internal dispatch protocol;
  • Positively interact with the Dispatch Office team;
  • Proactively deescalate customer complaints;
  • Transfer issues to the Dispatch Manager; and
  • Other duties as directed.

The Requirements

To be successful as a Call Taker, you will possess:

  • General knowledge of Saskatoon (key landmarks, road names, etc.);
  • Strong computer technology skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly;
  • Proven customer service skills;
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication;
  • Ability to work as part of a team in an open office concept;
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as required; and
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
