Accountability Objective
Under the direction of the Dining Room Services Supervisor, responsible for the delivery and service of meals to residents, maintaining cleanliness of dietary areas and equipment according to standards and regulations, and performing duties related to food preparation. A friendly smile and a positive attitude are essential.

Dining Services Attendant
Background/Qualifications
- Grade 12 education; able to follow written and oral instructions; fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Dependable, responsible, willing to learn.
- Understanding of food service and preparation; Safe Food Handling Certificate required.
- Previous experience in a similar setting preferred; hotel/restaurant or institutional experience is an asset. Bar experience and Smart-Serve certification are also assets.
Schedule
Work evenings and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in and contribute to the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) Program.
- Serve meals to residents and guests in the dining room.
- Set tables, clear dishes, and clean dining areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, and clean kitchen equipment following procedures.
- Handle vouchers for meal guests.
- Serve snacks and portion desserts.
- Receive and store food supplies.
- Assist in food preparation and assembly as assigned.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.
- Follow infection control protocols and participate in in-service education.
- Accept and sign for deliveries, ensuring proper paperwork.
- Organize resident/guest meal service seating and billing.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.
- Comply with health, safety, and food standards, including reporting hazards and participating in drills.
