Accountability Objective

Are you passionate about fostering connections and creating warm, welcoming environments through personalized dining experiences? Under the direction of the Dining Services Manager or designate, our Dining Services Attendants play a critical role in enriching the lives of our residents by providing high-quality service during meals. They also maintain cleanliness of dietary areas and equipment according to standards and regulations.

Background/Qualifications
  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar serving position preferred.
  • Understanding of food service and preparation is essential.
  • Valid regional safe food handler’s certificate.
  • Valid alcohol serving certificate.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to work well independently and in a team.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and adhere to continuous quality improvement standards.
  • Serve meals to residents and guests, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
  • Set tables, clear dining areas, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Record temperatures and food samples as per regulations.
  • Use POS systems for meal transactions.
  • Assist in food preparation and assembly.
  • Follow infection control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with policies, complete mandatory training, and participate in safety programs.
