The Dunfield Retirement Residence, a luxury community in Toronto, seeks a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences to residents and their guests. You will be the face of our dining service, ensuring each meal is enjoyable in a high-end setting.

We value teamwork, respectful atmosphere, and commitment to resident happiness. Strong English skills, 2 years of fine dining experience, and Smart Serve certification are required. Weekend shifts and evenings are needed.

Responsabilidades

• Set and clean tables, serving counters and dining area per event and service standards.
• Take orders, including modifications, and communicate orders to kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages to residents and guests.
• Know residents’ dietary requirements and preferences.
• Follow orders accurately and maintain sanitation per Health Department.
• Promote positive communication among staff, residents and guests.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and clear trays as needed.

What You'll Do:

As a key team member of our team, you will be responsible for:

• Setting and cleaning tables, serving counters and the dining area according to type of event and service standards.
• Taking orders, including any modifications, answer enquiries and communicate orders to kitchen.
• Serving food and beverage to our residents and guests.
• Know all the residents’ dietary requirements and preferences.
• Ability to understand and follow-out orders to serve the food correctly and according to specified modification
• Provide high level dining services to our residents according to the company’s standard.
• Clean table bases, chairs, and vacuum dining room floor.
• Practice and maintain established standards for cleanliness and sanitation required by the Health Department.
• Promote and maintains positive communication and relationships among staff, residents, and their guests.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Pick-up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure a clean dining area.
• Establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to pleasant dining by creating an environment which maintains the enjoyment, self respect, dignity and physical safety of each resident.

Who You Are:

We're looking for an individual with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. You'll also need:

• 2 years of fine dining floor experience.
• Smart serve certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be available to work weekends and flexible shifts, including evenings.
• Previous working experience with seniors an asset.
• Must be able to speak English fluently and be able to read and write in basic English.
• Ability to perform the following: carrying or lifting items up to 50 pounds, moving about the restaurant, handling food objects, plates, trays, glasses etc, Considerable bending, stooping and kneeling is required.

Compensation Package:

$19.10 CAD per hour + discretionary bonus eligibility
