Job description

Dining Room Manager - Temporary Full-time 12 month MAT leave contract

Shift details: 11am to 7pm, including every other weekend. (Will include regular rotation as MOD, aligning with scheduled weekend.)

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Support and monitor food and beverage activities to meet Aspira standards for hospitality-style dining
  • Manage dining room staff, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation
  • Conduct training sessions on hospitality-style dining service
  • Assist with meal service duties as needed
  • Report supply and procurement needs to the General Manager
  • Manage staffing levels within the dining room budget
  • Assist in planning and organizing external marketing events related to dining services

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma with coursework in hospitality service management, guest relations, or related fields
  • At least two years of experience in fine dining, catering, or hospitality within hotels and restaurants
  • Valid Safe Food Handling and Smart Serve certificates
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and supervise a diverse team, with effective delegation abilities
  • Patient, understanding, and capable of connecting with residents and families
  • Quick thinker, adaptable, and problem-solver
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and manage budgets effectively
