This position is in Cargill's agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make, and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Digital Supply Chain Product Owner will be responsible for representing the business needs and managing the product backlog to achieve desired business outcomes. This role involves understanding customer and business needs, building internal stakeholder commitment, developing deployment roadmaps, and partnering across the organization to develop, launch, and govern the product implementation experience, including costs, return on investment, deployment, and sustainment. The role also includes identifying business process owners and defining the accountability model with business stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities
  • Own product strategy and development from inception to delivery, identifying business value and end-user outcomes, including KPIs and ROI.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure goals are clear and aligned with business objectives, utilizing KPIs to show progress.
  • Create product roadmaps outlining the vision and direction for the product over time, serving as a strategic guide and execution plan.
  • Develop product backlog items, prioritize based on strategy and objectives, and map project dependencies.
  • Build working solutions or collaborate with teams in Smart Data & Analytics or DT&D to deliver data and technology projects.
  • Provide thought leadership, work independently, and guide supporting team members as a strategic contributor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of agile values, frameworks, and metrics
  • Strong background in data and analytics with experience leading data and technology projects
  • Experience leading change and communicating with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate teams and break down business requirements into deliverables
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience
  • Agile product owner certification
  • Supply chain planning and execution experience
