Position Summary

Our Digital Strategist is going on parental leave so we are looking for a dynamic and innovative human to join our progressive team for a 12-month contract (with possibility of extension, but no promises at this stage).

We seek someone passionate about innovative marketing, fundraising, multichannel advertising, social media strategy, and the nonprofit sector. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who thrives in a collaborative yet independent environment. This role involves working with a strategy team that's enhancing processes, standardizing documentation, and building new frameworks. Responsibilities include campaign management, branding, audience and market research, media planning, and ad deployment. If you're comfortable with agency life, enjoy data insights, can confidently run Meta, Google, or TikTok campaigns, and are passionate about nonprofits, this role is for you. Daily tasks may include conducting research, making campaign recommendations, analyzing data trends, configuring social media campaigns, and improving internal processes.

  • This is a remote position. An office is available at Queen and Spadina in Toronto, but attendance is optional. Quarterly, you will meet at the office for 2-day staff sessions.
  • We will provide necessary work equipment and a monthly stipend of $50 for mobile expenses.
  • Minimum 4 weeks of paid time-off per year.

Core Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies, translating them into actionable resources like personas, messaging, channel recommendations, and communication calendars.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct industry and market research; analyze data to discover insights and inform strategies.

Ad Deployment:

  • Manage ad campaigns on Meta, Google, and other platforms.

Insight Discovery:

  • Extract meaningful insights from research and data analysis.

Point of View (POV) and Internal Briefs:

  • Create POV documents on digital trends; develop creative briefs to guide projects internally.

Communication:

  • Engage with team members for feedback and process improvements.

Documentation and Processes:

  • Help standardize departmental documentation.

Client Projects:

  • Work on strategies and campaigns for nonprofit clients, contributing to all project stages and developing case studies for completed work.
