About The Role – Digital Solutions Specialist (Vancouver or Kamloops BC)

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Digital Solutions Specialist with the Orica Digital Solutions Team.

Orica’s digital solutions strategy aims to expand its range of digital products and solutions to support the digitization and enhancement of mining operations. The Digital Solutions Specialist is a key partner helping our valued customers achieve their strategic objectives and maximize value from their investment in Orica Digital Solutions. This role’s primary focus will be to build relationships, implement Orica’s digital solutions portfolio, support end users, and serve as the liaison between the customer and Orica’s extended digital team, including Product Owners, Architects, Support Team, and Management.

What you will be doing
  1. Manage all Blast Design and Execution (BD&E) portfolio site implementations with deep knowledge of Orica’s suite of products and services.
  2. Interact directly with customers across various departments – D&B, Geology, Operations, Geo-tech, IT, Technical Services, Processing – understand their unique challenges, and articulate how Orica’s solutions address those challenges.
  3. Perform site-scoping, build customers’ D&B and Materials processing maps, and tailor and implement Orica Technologies to meet customer processes.
  4. Lead implementations and training sessions to help customers realize the full value of Orica solutions.
  5. Establish regular meetings (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) with each client to review dashboards and program status.
  6. Act as the Orica liaison for customer inquiries, issues, or escalations, working with Support, Product Owners, Architects, and developers as needed.
  7. Build trust as a strategic advisor with customers and drive continued value of products and services.
  8. Ensure safety performance through on-site safety interactions.
  9. Maintain strong knowledge of Orica’s digital products and services across workstreams.
  10. Manage multiple customers independently while providing excellent customer service.
  11. Demonstrate project management and on-site delivery excellence using CSP methods.
  12. Monitor customer adoption and retention, reflected in revenue and churn rates.
  13. Manage support tickets, escalations, and issues promptly in accordance with SLAs.
What you will bring
  • Experience in technology implementation (software & hardware) in large industrial environments.
  • 4+ years of Mining Industry experience, with knowledge in areas like continuous improvement, D&B, Operations, or technical services.
  • Project management experience.
  • Post-sales implementation and support for digital technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI) and ability to learn new tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and social skills, including chairing meetings.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles involving issue resolution and escalation management.
  • Experience conducting workshops and discussing technology implementation and business value.
  • Knowledge of mining processes and systems; prior experience in mining technology is a plus.
  • Fluency in French and/or Spanish is a plus.
Role dimensions

Willingness to travel up to 50%, depending on project and customer needs. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to perform hardware installations and training across North America.

Ability to facilitate workshops and training sessions both in-office and in the field.

Your qualifications
  • Engineering degree in Mining, Blasting, Geology, Geotechnical, or related mining experience.

Compensation Range
  • Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 CAD
  • Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan

Salary will depend on experience, skills, and internal equity.
