Be responsive to breaking news: Monitor developing stories and be prepared to write timely inserts — such as a breaking news update into a morning newsletter — when major events require a fast response.

Manage Reddit engagement: Post and engage in communities across subreddits, fostering audience relationships and growing the Star's presence on the platform — with a focus on evenings and weekends.

Spark reader engagement: Curate and moderate reader commenting on thestar.com and participate in conversations, representing the Star with editorial judgement and community care.
