Job Summary
The Digital Print Operator is responsible for processing print-ready files on production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Follow a specific schedule to print production orders
- Operate Client Printers, Client iGen Color Printers, and Ricoh IP Color Continuous Inkjet System
- Printer set-up
- Submitting print files to printers
- Verify printer alignment is set up correctly and make adjustments if required
- Perform quality control checks to ensure the product is compliant
- Place Service Calls when required
- Clear out printer jams as required
- Scan job print tickets in BOWE One
- Fill out daily production logs
- Keep the work area organized and clean
- Adhere to all Health and Safety, Security policies, and departmental procedures
- Follow remake procedures
- Assist in training new operators
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience, and Educational Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to operate Client B / W printers, Client iGen, and Ricoh continuous inkjet systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, and problem-solving
- Knowledge of computers
- Completed high school diploma or some post-secondary education preferred
Working Conditions
- Clean, secure working environment
- Ability to stay for overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
- May be required to lift up to a certain weight
- Standing for extended periods
- Flexible with shift changes when required
