Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent Social Media Marketing Specialist to shape and protect our corporate image in ways that promote our business, values, and mission. You’ll be responsible for content creation, social media marketing, online brand management, media relations, and collaborating with our teams in promotional activities.

We want to see candidates who can impress us with their copywriting and presentation skills. You will excel at communication and customer service. We’ll be on the lookout for experience in corporate communications, project management, and social media. Bring enthusiasm and a pleasant personality, and you’ll be our ideal candidate.

Renovation Trust aims to revolutionize home renovations across Canada, helping homeowners and contractors achieve successful projects. We ensure homeowners get what they pay for and help contractors get paid. Though a startup, our team has extensive experience in launching and running successful companies. Responsibilities :

  • Create content for social media and website (TikTok videos, written communication, social images, and more)
  • Create and manage ad campaigns (free and paid)
  • Formulate audiences and optimize campaigns to reach the right targets
  • Analyze user experiences to refine targeting
  • Develop PR plans and strategies, and be the voice of our organization
  • Enhance the company's online voice and presence
  • Write press releases and PR copy
  • Plan and supervise events and conferences
  • Manage PR crises and handle damage control
  • Resolve disputes with the public
  • Lead surveys and analyze public opinion
  • Manage internal communications like newsletters
  • Set up and optimize social media pages
  • Execute social media strategies with organic and paid options
  • Respond to brand reviews
  • Engage with targeted virtual communities and users
  • Engage on all social media platforms to promote our services

Requirements :

  • Proven experience with PR, social media marketing, and corporate communications
  • Experience managing social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Experience using social media management platforms like Hootsuite or Hubspot
  • Experience in project management and PR project execution
  • Copywriting and editing skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office, photo, and video editing software is a plus
  • Experience with content creation, email marketing, web marketing, digital media, radio, TV, and YouTube is an asset
  • Experience working with influencers is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Aptitude for public speaking and presentations
  • Creative and practical mindset
  • People skills — ensuring customer satisfaction is your goal!
  • Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (experience can substitute education)
