Introduction to team: The Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) team helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network and affiliate solutions.

The Digital Marketing Specialist (SFMC) role sits on the Expedia Cruises marketing team in the TPM division of Expedia Group. As someone with a flair for advertising, you understand what it takes to deliver consumer messaging that drives awareness, demand, and loyalty. The Digital Marketing Specialist is accountable for the execution and optimization of the email marketing strategy in support of lead-generation objectives for online media, and in support of our retail franchise network. You’ll also play a key role in the production of digital campaigns in support of core promotions, events, and exclusive offers.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute and optimize automated email campaigns through Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) for our North America-wide retail and travel agent network.
  • Support Franchisee regional consumer marketing campaigns and custom digital campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain related tools and resources for Franchisees, including automated processes through the SFMC suite of applications.
  • Ensure email campaign consistency, quality assurance, and high launch success rates with responsibility for regular reporting.
  • Production of email tiles and landing pages to support our national marketing campaigns.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree required.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in an email or digital marketing role.
  • Hands-on experience working with enterprise-level email marketing tools, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), or Acoustic.
  • Expertise in SFMC tools: e.g. Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Einstein, Mobile Studio, CloudPages etc.
  • Experienced with writing HTML for developing email templates, as well as AMPscript for personalization.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices (i.e. CASL & CAN-SPAM), deliverability, segmentation, targeting and A/B testing.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve client issues and challenges.

Bonus Points:

  • E-commerce and travel (cruise) industry experience.
  • Basic design skills using tools like Photoshop and proficiency in CSS.
  • Up to date on applied trends in email marketing personalization and conversion optimization.

The total cash range for this position in Vancouver is $65,500.00 to $92,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $105,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
