Digital Marketing Specialist

Additional Info: This is a hybrid role which will require approx 2-3 days in the central Dublin office per week.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist who can own and optimise the full digital marketing funnel - from driving traffic to the website to generating and nurturing high quality leads. This role blends performance marketing, website ownership, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), content marketing, and data analysis into one versatile position.

This is a mixed technical and marketing role - skills will be needed across both disciplines. You’ll report directly to the Strategic Tech Lead and work closely with the CTO and Head of Marketing to deliver results. You will work at the centre of our demand generation efforts, using tools like Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, GTM, Behaviour Analysis tools, and marketing automation platforms to deliver measurable results.

A strong grasp of CRO, SEO, UX/UI, and data-driven reporting is essential, as is the ability to craft compelling content and experiment with AI in content marketing. Learning and developing insights on user journeys, defining hypotheses and implementing changes and tracking results, to build new journeys that help our customers and drive company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Marketing & Lead Generation:

● Build and refine full-funnel digital campaigns to drive high quality MQLs and SQLs that align with sales goals.

● Work with our external agencies to plan, manage, and optimise PPC campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn and other platforms.

● Identify new lead generation opportunities, experimenting with channels and tactics to maximise growth.

● Deliver high-quality leads to sales, ensuring smooth integration with CRM systems and marketing automation tools.

● Work closely with the sales team to align on ICP, lead quality, and conversion feedback.

● Collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns are timely and effective.

● Manage and optimize the website with a focus on UX, technical SEO, content hierarchy, and CRO best practices.

● Lead A/B testing initiatives across the website and landing pages to maximise conversion rates.

● Leverage analytic tools such as GTM, GA4, Woopra and Hotjar to gain insights into user behavior and identify obstacles to conversion.

Analytics, Reporting & Data Insights:

● Create dashboards and detailed reporting on campaign performance and attribution, site traffic, lead funnel metrics, and ROI.

● Deliver actionable insights through data analysis to improve marketing performance across all digital channels.

● Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders across marketing, sales, tech, and leadership teams.

● Maintain a focus on commercial impact - tracking and reporting on CAC, ROAS, and pipeline contribution from paid channels.

Content & AI-Driven Digital Marketing:

● Develop and implement content strategies that support SEO, paid campaigns, and brand awareness.

● Write and edit marketing content including ad copy, landing pages, emails, and blog posts.

● Leverage AI tools for campaign ideation, content generation, and process automation.

Key Requirements

● Relevant 3rd level qualification. A qualification (Pro, Expert, Postgrad or Masters) from the Digital Marketing Institute would be preferred, or similar qualification.

● Proven experience in PPC, paid media, and digital lead generation, ideally in a B2B environment.

● Experience managing marketing funnels from awareness to conversion, with a strong grasp of customer journeys.

● Expertise in Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and related platforms, with a keen eye for data and optimisation.

● Comfortable using marketing automation tools, CRM systems (like HubSpot or Salesforce), and attribution/reporting platforms.

● Skilled in using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and A/B testing platforms.

● Very strong skills in Excel and reporting to stakeholders across leadership, marketing, tech and finance roles.

● Data-led mindset with strong reporting, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

● Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with attention to tone, clarity, and engagement.

● Basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS and understanding of UX/UI principles.

● Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Bonus Skills:

● Experience in the battery, mining, energy, or tech sectors.

● Exposure to content-driven lead generation, SEO, or CRO strategies.

● Experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.

● Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Storyblok, any other).

● Experience using AI and automation in digital marketing workflows.
