Role Overview:

In this role, the Digital Marketing Specialist will lead and execute digital strategies that elevate our brand presence in the Canadian market. They will have a deep understanding of Canada's unique digital landscape and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing and Advertising

  • Assess product or service characteristics to determine marketing and advertising needs.
  • Advise clients on marketing, advertising, or sales promotion opportunities and strategies.
  • Develop and execute direct and digital marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns, tailored to the Canadian audience.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to measure success and refine future strategies.

Social Media and Online Presence

  • Develop and manage social media accounts, including responding to customer reviews and managing testimonials.
  • Create engaging, bilingual (if applicable) content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and advertisements.
  • Optimize online content for SEO and manage paid search campaigns using platforms like Google Ads.

Public Relations and Communications

  • Develop and implement public relations programs to inform clients, employees, and the public about initiatives and policies.
  • Conduct surveys to understand the opinions and concerns of key groups.
  • Prepare and oversee reports, briefs, speeches, presentations, press releases, and websites.
  • Act as an organization’s spokesperson and handle written and oral inquiries.
  • Arrange media events, interviews, and news conferences to amplify messaging.

Event Coordination and Special Projects

  • Plan and coordinate workshops, meetings, ceremonies, and other events for publicity, fundraising, and informational purposes.
  • Organize special publicity events and promotions for internal and external audiences.

Additional Duties

  • Assist in preparing brochures, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Represent individuals with unique expertise, preparing contracts as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years in digital marketing, advertising, or public relations, with knowledge of the Canadian market.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, and email marketing platforms.
Creativity: Ability to craft compelling content that aligns with Canadian cultural nuances.
Compliance: Knowledge of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and digital marketing regulations.

Highlights:

Hours of work per week: 37.5
Term: Full time
Contract Duration: 3 Years
Hourly Wage: $36.06
Location: Hybrid with 2 to 3 days at the office
Office Location: 1200 Bay Street, Suite-1201, Toronto, ON, M5R2A5
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree
Working Schedule: Between 9 AM and 5 PM Monday to Friday
Vacation: 2 weeks of Paid Vacation plus all weekends and statutory holidays.
