LDS - Learn. Develop. Succeed. is an innovative, research-based, nonprofit charity serving children, youth and adults with learning differences. In collaboration with academic institutions, LDS offers individualized, evidence-based, technology-embracing programs that target student-specific learning needs. Our programs and services operate from our Learning Centres in East Vancouver and North Vancouver, from multiple in-school locations, in our LDS Access mobile classroom throughout the Lower Mainland, and online throughout British Columbia. Purpose of Position

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead our online presence and development and implementation of our digital growth strategy. This role is responsible for significantly expanding our reach, growing our followers across social platforms, and driving engagement through multi-media storytelling. The successful candidate will combine creative content production with data-driven strategies to enhance LDS - Learn. Develop. Succeed.’s profile among learners, families, educators, supporters, and community partners.

The Digital Marketing Manager will report to our Senior Manager, Communications and coordinate activities with our entire support and educational team.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead manage all elements of our digital growth strategy. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Together with the Senior Manager, Communications, develop a digital marketing strategy to expand our online community, increase engagement and share our resources, services and programs across all platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Be the primary lead for implementation, monitoring and reporting for this strategy.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to expand our use of Google Ads to run campaigns that bolster visits to website, highlighted programs, and more.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs such as follower growth, engagement rate, impressions, and click-throughs as well as applicants to programs and services and new community members (staff, partners, etc.).
  • Build our brand presence and ensure consistency across digital channels.
  • Plan, produce, and publish frequent multi-media content including video, photo, graphics, blog posts, reels, stories, and newsletters.
  • Work closely with the support and educational teams to highlight success stories, supporter impact, and program milestones.
  • Manage our content calendar to align with program recruitment, events, and profile as well as fundraising initiatives.
  • Actively engage with online communities, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner (at least daily).
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for partnerships, influencer engagement, and cross-promotions.
  • Foster digital storytelling that highlights LDS learners, families and supporters.
  • Track and report on digital performance using analytics tools.
  • A/B test and optimize campaigns to improve reach and engagement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.
Competencies
  • Proven success in growing social media audiences and engagement.
  • Strong skills in video editing, graphic design, and content production (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Google Ads).
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and copy-editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
  • Passion for inclusive education, community building and social impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in digital marketing or social media management.
  • Volunteer experience in a related or transferable field.
Requirements
  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Recent ‘working with vulnerable populations’ training (can be provided).

Start date: As soon as possible

Reports to: Senior Manager, Communications

Hours of work: Preferred hours of work are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Tuesday to Saturday, with flexible start/end times and the occasional need for work outside of that time. Monday to Friday schedule also possible, pending discussion in an initial phone screen. One day a week working from home is typical for team members after one year of employment.

Remuneration: Salary range of $55,000-$68,000 commensurate with education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time permanent, 40 paid working hours per week (42.5 hours in office, including 30 min daily unpaid break).
