Seabird Island Band is seeking a Digital Literary Instructor to join Seabird College. The role involves providing culturally informed instruction, assessment, and classroom management to enhance student learning. Position Summary
Seabird Island is committed to fostering educational excellence while creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment that respects and values Indigenous knowledge, traditions, and ways of being. We are seeking a Digital Literary Instructor to join our team, working collaboratively to enhance the learning experience of students at Seabird College.
Under the direction of the College Administrator, the Teacher provides culturally informed instruction, assessment, and classroom management to students. This role involves preparing and delivering lessons in alignment with curriculum standards, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and the broader community.
The Teacher will also engage in community relations activities to support student success and well-being, while participating in professional development and school meetings to ensure continuous growth and alignment with school policies and educational best practices.
This position has a start date of August 25th, 2025, and an end date of June 30th, 2026.
