Location: Sherbrooke, Quebec. Remote work possible for eligible candidates in Quebec. Eligibility: The candidate must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid work permit.

Your Role

Irreversible is seeking a digital circuits designer to join our team. You will collaborate with engineers and scientists to design, adapt, and test core circuits for low-power AI processors, enabling next-generation edge AI applications.

What You'll Do

  1. Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds to design architectures for low-power AI processors.
  2. Develop and verify RTL models for core components, ensuring thorough documentation.
  3. Optimize designs for area, power, and timing using synthesis and place-and-route techniques.
  4. Conduct functional and performance verification using industry-standard tools.
  5. Contribute to digital design flow development and refinement.
  6. Support post-silicon validation and debugging.
  7. Assist in report writing, patent drafting, technical documentation, and conference participation.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical/electronics engineering, physics engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in RTL coding (e.g., Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL).
  • Understanding of digital design principles, including timing analysis, power optimization, and clock domain crossing.
  • Familiarity with EDA tools for synthesis, simulation, and verification (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence).
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Scripting or programming experience is an asset.
