The role involves collecting and analyzing digital evidence, producing forensic reports, and collaborating with incident response teams. Participates in Digital Forensic investigations with a focus on internal investigations and security events. Responsibilities include technical, analytical, and investigative tasks such as finding, proving, and documenting artifacts, as well as identifying root causes, options for solutions, and optimal outcomes.
Collects digital evidence from various endpoints, devices, systems, and environments, ensuring integrity, completeness, and chain of custody in accordance with policies and SOPs.
Analyzes devices, logs, messages, emails, and activities to uncover knowledge and intent, identifying malicious activity or policy violations.
Utilizes approved tools and techniques to accomplish investigative goals.
Produces detailed, accurate, defensible forensic reports, along with internal SOPs and project documentation.
Collaborates closely with incident response teams to investigate and resolve security events.
Develops new methods, playbooks, scripts, applications, and tools; trains others in their use.
Participates in incident management teams, responding to security events per Oracle's incident response playbooks.
Investigates intrusions and breaches, overseeing root cause analysis.
Evaluates technical architectures, policies, standards, and playbooks for security risks; provides technical advice and recommends security controls.
Applies advanced skills to research, evaluate, and manage security threats and vulnerabilities, requiring in-depth analysis and scripting/programming knowledge.
Focuses on operational and strategic tasks, providing guidance to junior security operations engineers.

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from $66,800 to $145,900 per annum.
