Job description

The Digital Experience Director is responsible for shaping the agency’s digital deliverables through collaboration with our cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital experiences. You will guide and refine our digital outputs to ensure that they deliver exceptional user experiences and drive success for our clients.

Drawing on best practices from UX, UI, SEO, and technology you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our digital specialists to ensure that we are thinking holistically in every stage of production. You will play a pivotal role in bridging creative, technical, and strategic disciplines, ensuring that our clients’ digital ecosystems are not only visually compelling but also strategically sound and seamlessly functional.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for crafting intuitive user experiences, an analytical mindset to measure impact, and the leadership skills to inspire teams to deliver exceptional work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Strategic Leadership :
  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital strategies that align with clients’ business goals and drive measurable results.
  • Stay ahead of digital trends and emerging technologies to inform innovative approaches.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and agency stakeholders, advocating for user-first approaches while addressing business objectives.
  • User Experience Guidance :
  • Oversee the creation of seamless, user-friendly experiences across digital touchpoints including emails, websites, apps, and beyond.
  • Illustrate and map user journeys for project stakeholders to better understand the expected behaviour of end-users.
  • Collaborate with creative, design, and development teams to deliver cohesive, on-brand digital experiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :
  • Partner with creative directors and designers to push creative ideas to new mediums, platforms, and audiences blending storytelling with cutting-edge technology.
  • Collaborate with analysts and measurement partners to better understand effectiveness and implement insights for future performance improvements.
  • Work directly with clients to align on goals, audiences, and experience strategies.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Technological Evaluation :
  • Gather a thorough understanding of our clients’ technology, customer data, and platform limitations to guide project delivery.
  • Write technical specs for complex digital projects including custom developed websites and applications.
  • Guide personalization efforts by harnessing customer data and utilizing it in new ways.
  • Testing & Optimization :
  • Collaborate with the measurement team to ensure proper measurement and benchmarking for our clients’ channels.
  • Help guide testing initiatives to build a body of knowledge for each client that can be directly leveraged for future campaigns.
  • Provide guidance on optimization opportunities and ongoing improvements for long-term campaigns utilizing performance data.

OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

  • Experience : Minimum 8–10 years in digital strategy, user experience strategy, or related fields
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is considered a strong asset
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Digital Media, Human-Computer Interaction) is considered an asset.
  • Proven expertise in user-centered design principles, digital marketing strategies, and emerging technologies
  • Strong track record of collaborating with diverse skillsets within a team
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable insights
  • A portfolio showcasing successful digital projects and UX strategies.
