Objective:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Engineer to support Joseph Ribkoff in their digital transformation journey. This strategic role bridges business needs and technological solutions, ensuring alignment between digital initiatives and organizational priorities. The Digital Engineer acts as a change agent, supporting stakeholders in defining business needs, modeling processes and capabilities, and planning high-impact, integrated solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing digital solutions that drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop digital systems, processes, and tools that integrate with existing infrastructure and meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, and implement solutions that align with business objectives, scalability requirements, and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of Commerce interactions and integrations (across domains/capabilities such as Service, OMS, ERP/Fulfillment, Fraud, Payment, Tax, Loyalty, Subscriptions etc.)
- Lead the integration of new digital technologies into existing infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, coding best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
- Define, model, and recommend the business capabilities required for digital transformation (e.g., portals, customer experience, payment services, omnichannel operations).
- Ability to recommend best practice for designing the Commerce solution including steps to take for optimized site performance.
- Ability to lead diverse teams, including solution architects and developers in delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure that digital systems are scalable, secure, and easy to integrate with other systems.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Stay updated with the latest digital trends, technologies, and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for digital systems and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital engineering or a related field.
- Experience in implementing digital transformation initiatives and utilizing emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, or cloud computing.
- Familiarity with various digital engineering tools and platforms (e.g., CAD software, simulation tools, cloud platforms, Optimizely, Shopify Plus).
- Proficient in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and digital tools for engineering (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, and automation.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) and integration with enterprise systems.
- Familiar with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Experience with industry 4.0 concepts such as cyber-physical systems and digital twins.
- Familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics tools.
- Strong experience in commerce architecture, engineering, or related roles, focusing on different commerce models (such as B2B).
